Context
Rwanda is experiencing one of the highest growth rates in Africa and is proving to be an increasingly attractive location for economic activity and investment in the region. However, despite this growth, not enough jobs have been created so far. Therefore, Rwanda aims to create a total of 1.5 million jobs in the country between 2017 and 2024 and is supported in this by the special initiative.

Identifying and reducing barriers to investment
The project offers needs-based services to support companies across sectors, promote growth and foreign investment, and create jobs.
Promoting small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs)
The project trains employees and applicants, provides advice on business development, and helps improve product quality. It also supports the establishment of the e-commerce center in Kigali and a platform for online trading.
Expanding the Global Business Services Sector:
The project supports Rwanda as a location for providers of global business services (GBS) to create jobs. It supports companies in needs-based training and further education of skilled workers, promotes business support systems, and improves networking among the various stakeholders.
Promoting Pharmaceutical and Biotechnology Companies in Rwanda:
The project helps companies network and reduce barriers to investment. At the same time, it
