📋 Tender Overview
The scope of the Project is to improve road connection between two Member States – Poland and Slovakia on the Via Carpatia route. The Project will be implemented by works and studies to create an environmentally sustainable cross-border road link on the Comprehensive TEN-T Road Network. It will be delivered by partners from Poland and Slovakia. The general objective the Project on the Polish side is designing and construction of the S19 expressway on the section. Dukla – Barwinek (State border) for a total length of 18.18 km. The second component of the Project will be delivered by the Slovak Partner on R4 road which is part of Via Carpatia route. It will be an update of the Feasibility study for the R4 expressway (approximatively 59.50 km from Polish/Slovak border), in view of the need to complete a new high capacity expressway to meet the current and future traffic demands in the area. Implementation of the Project will provide EU added value in terms of constituting part of the trans-European transport network, which will contribute to increasing the competitiveness of Europe, smart and sustainable economic growth favorable to social inclusion, territorial, social and economic cohesion and access to the internal market and its integration.
