Scope :
This project will provide technical cooperation that supports the Ugandan government's efforts to improve the environment for promoting the ICT industry, develop ICT human resources, and support private companies and entrepreneurs in Kampala, the capital city of Uganda, and surrounding areas. It also aims to promote Uganda’s ICT industry through networking with local private associations, academic institutes, and foreign companies, and by forming a growth model for the industry. The project will contribute to the achievement of SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals) Goals 8 (Decent work and economic growth) and 9 (Industry, innovation and infrastructure).
Policy proposal for enabling the environment to support a tech-enabled service industry, provision of practical training programs for ICT human resources development, promotion of business matching between local and foreign companies, and strengthening of technology-driven entrepreneurship in Uganda.
