DESCRIPTION: The project aims to finance new energy solutions developed by Iberdrola Clientes, the retail arm of Iberdrola, to expand its "energy-as-a-service" business alongside traditional grid electricity supply. These solutions include services that help customers improve energy efficiency and electrify part of their demand. The Promoter will invest in solar photovoltaic for commercial and industrial customers and shared self-consumption for residential customers (35%), electric vehicles charging networks (18%), thermal energy storage for industrial heat supply (37%), and onshore power systems for maritime transport (10%).
OBJECTIVES
The investments will contribute to electrification of demand and to reaching decarbonisation targets in the EU.
