In HCFC Phase out Management Plan Stage II, Bahamas commits to 100 per cent phase-out of HCFCs at the baseline level of 4.81 ODP tonnes by 2030 in accordance with the decision 74/50(c)(xii) of the Executive Committee. Stage II plans to build on stage I and continue with the activities such as training of technicians on good servicing practices, as well as safe handling of low-GWP alternatives. At the same time support will be provided to the Customs Department to ensure that the Ozone Module is updated and well covered in their internal trainings. E-licensing is also foreseen to support the NOU in improving HCFC licensing and quota system and help in the transition to the national single window system. Stage II will also include establishment of online training course to ensure that post-HPMP the technical capacity of technicians can be sustained without the HPMP funding. Awareness in the sector is also foreseen. Finally, stage II will include a recovery, recycling and reclamation component to ensure a reduced demand for the HCFCs for servicing needs
