scope - It will involve digging 11.8km of tunnels using two tunnel boring machines and building three stations Antonyple Massy Opra and Massy-Palaiseau along with 13 ancillary engineering structures 10 branches connecting with the tunnel and 850m of cut and cover.Grand Paris Express is a group of new rapid transit lines being built in the le-de-France region of France. The project comprises four new lines Lines 15 16 17 and 18 plus extensions of existing lines 11 and 14.A total of 200km of new track and 68 new stations are to be added serving 2M passengers a day.The first section of Line 18 will link Orly airport to Massy-Palaiseau with the line then extended to Versailles.At its peak the Line 18 works package will employ up to 700 people 500 labourers and 200 supervisory staff. Over the 83-month duration of the worksite it will also create the equivalent of 148 full-time jobs for people in social integration programmes.A joint venture of Vinci Construction and Spie batignolles has won the first works contract for Line 18 of the Grand Paris Express.The 799M 712M contract is for Works Package 1 of the line.
