Scope: The runway at Fuvahmulah Airport will be expanded to accommodate jets, Apron space will be increased for jet parking, Jet fuel will be made available, A flying school will be established.
The development masterplan, primarily focused on enhancing the airport’s capabilities, includes major upgrades to accommodate jets and improve airport facilities.
RACL has also revealed plans to develop a tourism zone in the vacant land south of Fuvahmulah Airport. This development is expected to boost the local economy by attracting tourists and creating new business opportunities.
