Project Description
The project involves the provision of a senior unsecured SME loan of up to €7 million in favour of Alter Modus in MOntenegro, in two equal tranches, to be used for on-lending to eligible small and medium-sized enterprises under the EBRD Financial Intermediaries Framework (FIF).

Project Objectives
The project will improve access to finance for SMEs, which are the main source of employment in the private sector and a major contributor to the economy in Montenegro. The loan will enable AM to increase its outreach and meet demand for medium- to long-term funding for SMEs. All sub-projects to be financed will be compliant with the Bank's E&S requirements and allocate at least 20% of the sub-loans to comply with GET standards and requirements (GHG reductions and energy efficiency capacity).
