Project Description
The provision of a senior unsecured loan of up to $12 million to Golomt Bank JSC ("GB" or "Golomt") under the Central Asian Women in Business II Programme ("CA WiB II") under the Financial Intermediary Framework ("FIF") ("WiB Loan"). The WiB Loan will be provided in two equal tranches, of which the second will be uncommitted.
Project Objectives
The operation will support women-led micro, small and medium-sized enterprises ("WSMEs") in Mongolia through a dedicated package of financial and non-financial services to help meet their differentiated needs, including through a pilot to increase access to financing in the care economy.

The project will contribute to the objectives of the CA WiB II, supporting its Inclusive and Competitive TI qualities, namely promotion of women-led businesses' access to finance and, more broadly, women's active participation in business, thus, alleviating gender inclusion gaps in terms of "access to finance" and "employment and entrepreneurship".
