Expansion Sails Production Tender

ScopeThe expansion of the Steel Authority of Indias SAIL production capacity to 50 million tpa will be done in two phases In December 2018 the company had announced an expansion plan. It had disclosed that by 2030-31 it will ramp up production capacity to 50 million tpa from about 21.4 million tpa at present. In Phase-I it intends to reach 35 million tpa by 2025-26 and the rest 15 million tpa in Phase-II will be completed by 31 March 2031. SAIL has set 17.5 million tonne steel production as target for FY20.
