Ethanol Tender

Scope : To Set up an Ethanol Unit at Bankbija in Sonpur district of Odisha.

Bio Agro Energy is planning to set up an ethanol unit with a capacity of 200 klpd at Bankbija in Sonpur district of Odisha. The company has scheduled to commence work on the project in Q1/FY24.

The unit will cover over 10.43 hectares of land parcel. The project also involves setting up a five MW co-generation power plant and a sewage treatment plant (STP) with a capacity of 20 CMD.

The total freshwater requirement will be 1016 CMD met through Mahanadi River. The project has the potential to create employment opportunities for around 337 individuals.

In November 2021, Bio Agro Energy received approval from the state-level single window clearance authority (SLSWCA) for the project. Further, the ministry of environment, forest and climate change (MoEF&CC) granted environmental clearance (EC) in July 2022.
