ETCS Praha-Uhríneves - Praha - Lysá nad Labem is an important project in the context of the on-going ETCS deployment in Junction Praha and of the Global Project of ETCS deployment on backbone railway network of the Czech Republic. It aims at deploying ETCS L2 Baseline 3 on a total of 45.011 km double track equivalent, split into two sections : i) Praha-Uhríneves - Praha main station (excluding) on 6.2 km (equivalent of 12.390 km of double-track) and ii) Praha main station (excluding)- Lysá nad Labem on 30.1 km (equivalent of 32.621 km of double-track). Section Praha main station (exluding) - Lysá nad Labem is located on the Core TEN-T Network transport and is part of the Orient/East Med and Rhine/Danube Corridors. Section Praha-Uhríneves - Praha main station (exluding) is located on the Comprehensive TEN-T Network. The implementation of the Action will enhance interoperability, increase the level of safety and utilization capacity, as well as the general efficiency of rail transport management in the Czech Republic.
