To obtain formal rights to the territory, communities must prove to the administration that they can practice sustainable hunting using management plans. To be able to draw up a management plan, it is necessary to know the dynamics of animal populations, in particular duikers which represent 50% of the hunting population in this region. It is necessary to conduct studies on these still poorly known species; which will make it possible to produce simple decision-making indicators, understandable by communities and convincing for the administration. This project plans to place village communities (around 300 hunters) at the heart of wildlife management while promoting Gabonese research through the creation of a complete database of these species that can be used in the sub-region
