A letter from SADC to UNIDO dated 2 May, requested to provide the SADC Secretariat with the necessary technical and financial assistance for the preparatory process, which include assessing the possibility of establishing a SADC RE Centre; developing a concept note and a detailed project document; and subsecquently facilitate the creation of the Centre
