Description:The Applied Innovation Center (AIC) was established to promote the use of emerging Information and Communications Technologies (ICT) in addressing, analysing and solving national challenges, while developing human capital and creating an environment for innovative start-ups to form and grow. The current cooperation between UNDP and Applied Innovation Centre (AIC), affiliated to the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) aims at supporting the AIC to achieve its mission and meet its objectives. The cooperation is designed to:a) further develop and enhance the technical and institutional capacities of AIC to become amongst the first tier of national applied R&D entities in emerging ICT technologies in Egypt and the developing nations.b) support AIC efforts aiming at taking all necessary measures to become a sustainable organization that contributes to the use of emerging ICT technologies to address national challenges and solve strategic problems and building capacity through hands-on training in real life projects
