📋 Tender Overview
Objectives
The project intends the buildout of a training program for a multidimensional development of the technology courses that integrates the analysis and evaluation of the engineering technologies from different perspectives: political, economic, environmental. The ultimate goal of the project is to equip future engineers with the skills required for a comprehensive review of how new technologies, and even their commercialization, can impact on personal, social, economic or political level.
Activities
1. Development of training program. It will focus on the:
- Definition and specification of the training program and materials
- Training the trainers event
- Virtualization and translation of training materials
2. Teaching training program to students. To put into practice and evaluate the teaching methodology
- Pilot on the participant HEIs (local course)
- Evaluation and report of local courses
- International School in Porto
3.Dissemination and exploitation of the project results.
Impact
The project intends the development of improved teaching/learning methodologies of technological courses leading to professionals with a integral view of technology that includes social, economic, political and environmental perspectives.
Concrete results will be the definition of a training program for the multidimensional approach of the engineering courses, a guide for its implementation and the virtualized material developed for the pilots at the HEIs.
