📋 Tender Overview
The EENTITLE project aims at enhancing the teaching, assessment, and recognition mechanisms for engineering educators of HEIs from Ecuador. It is designed to promote and reward excellence in teaching and skills development, namely those related to the digital environment usage, ensure equity and inclusion, and achieve international professional recognition through the following main activities: •Create or update (4) centres at partner HEIs that will: - create (4) and update (8) professional development programs (PDPs) following international framework quality assurance standards for PDPs focused on engineering educators -provides guidelines on how to prepare (4) PDPs for the international accreditation procedure -support engineering educators (400) in preparing for individual professional registration (digital mode) to gain international recognition of skills and qualifications, including portfolio building and recommendations for further teaching and interpersonal competencies development •Select and train 100 experts to make part of the Monitoring Committee for the peer evaluation •Develop national recommendations to introduce the reform of engineering educators’ assessment and international recognition system based on transparent evidence-based principles •Stimulate the social recognition of high-quality engineering educators at national and international levels increasing the prestige of the profession. Engineering educators would be able to increase their capacity and gain international recognition in Ecuador (400).
As a result of the EENTITLE project, a transparent evidence-based international system of evaluating teaching practice and pedagogical competence of engineering educators will be implemented in each institution to serve as a pilot for the region; teachers will start to be rewarded and recognized locally, and internationally not only for scientific achievements, Ph.D. titles, and number of years of professional practice but for their teaching skills
