Project Description
EDP, S.A. ( EDP or the Company ), is a global energy company domiciled in Portugal. IFC’s proposed financing consists of a 7-year unsecured corporate loan of up to US$ 250 million to EDP and certain of its financing subsidiaries. The proceeds will be primarily used to support Los Cuervos solar park in Mexico and potentially other eligible Category B (as defined per IFC’s Policy on E&S Sustainability, 2012) renewable energy generation project(s) in other emerging market(s), developed and owned through one of its subsidiaries, EDP Renovaveis, S.A. ( EDPR ).
