Duqm Wind Ipp Tender

Scope of Work:
To Develop Duqm Wind IPP. It is referred to as Wind IPP 2024.

Details:
The new projects are among the key highlights of OPWP’s yet to be published 7-Year Outlook Statement 2018-2024, currently awaiting approval. The project will be located at Ras Madrakah in Duqm for commercial operation in Q4 2027. The project capacity is expected to be in the range of 234-270 MW.

Previous Events:
May 2023- Request for Qualifications (RfQ) as well as a Request for Proposals (RfP) will be issued this year for wind-based IPP planned at Duqm.
February 2023-Oman seeking proposals from interested bidders to provide legal consultancy services and Commercial & Financial for the development of Duqm Wind IPP. OPWP expects to receive response to RFP project's tender from the bidders by March 23.
July 2022- The Oman Power and Water Procurement Company (OPWP) has issued a request for proposals (RfP) for technical and economic consultancy services for the development of 200 MW Duqm Wind IPP. Due Date - September 5, 2022.
May 2018- Oman has unveiled plans for New Wind Projects.
