SHORT DESCRIPTION:
Overall goal
For over 50 years, the Austrian Foundation for Development Education (ÖFSE) has provided information, documentation, and advice on development policy-related topics. A core aspect of its activities is its academic library, complemented by its information and public relations work, documentation services, and event center. The ÖFSE is committed to an integrative approach to global citizenship education and its activities are aligned with current priorities in the national and international debate surrounding SDG 4.7 and the implementation of the Agenda for Sustainable Development.
The overarching program goal for 2022–2026 is for the ÖFSE, through its work in the C3 - Centre for International Development, to contribute to increased visibility, discussion and implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in Austria – with particular emphasis on SDG 4 'Quality Education' and disadvantaged or educationally marginalized individuals.
Specific goal: Starting from the C3 as a central location for development policy exchange and professional discussion, the ÖFSE develops and disseminates development policy knowledge and enables critical reflection, especially for young people and students outside the development policy community in Austria.

• Young people in Austria, especially secondary school students, are reflecting on issues of sustainable global development in a more critical and differentiated way.
• Issues of global sustainable development are more visible, documented in the long term and available to everyone, including in the digital space.
• The staff possess substantive and technical expertise, are well-connected, and contribute development policy-relevant aspects to the professional discourse.
