Scope of WorkTo Develop 100-MW Kilsallagh Wind Project in County Mayo.DescriptionEDF Renewables Ireland a renewables company within French group Electricite de France SA announced a proposal to develop a 100-MW wind farm project in County Mayo. The company would submit a planning application and an environmental impact assessment report for the project to Irelands planning body An Bord Pleanala in early 2022.The Kilsallagh wind project could feature up to 25 turbines erected in a forested area to the northeast of the Slieve Carr mountain about 8 kilometres 5 miles southeast of the town of Bangor Erris. The final turbine count and layout will be determined once environmental studies and community engagement meetings are finalised. Depending on planning permission the Kilsallagh wind farm could start operation in 2028.
