Description:
UNOPS provides the design and construction of a health center with capacity to carry out health screening with x-ray and provide limited treatment facilities for dental care and others that will be determined in consultation with the Ministry of Health. There’s an existing health clinic that provides basic services to local communities in Mahonda. Construction of additional facilities through this project will enable better health screening for referrals and provide specific services. It is expected that this extension of medical services will allow more people in the nearby communities to access and receive specialized services and better health screening. This in return will help to reduce the pressure of government hospitals and improve efficiency of health service delivery and referrals.
