Scope : To Build a Data Center in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam
Singapore-based ST Telemedia Global Data Centers and Vietnamese tech unicorn VNG have formed a joint venture to build a $420 million data center in Ho Chi Minh City amid surging demand for cloud computing infrastructure in one of the fastest growing digital economies in Southeast Asia.
The partners will build a new data center—which will have a potential capacity of up to 60 megawatts when completed in 2026—in Ho Chi Minh City. This will be the second facility for VNG, which currently operates a 9.6-megawatt data center city in the Vietnamese financial hub.
