Scope :

Description

The project is being developed and currently owned by Century Power Generation. The company has a stake of 100%.

It is a Combined Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT) power plant. The fuel will be procured from OML 42.

Development status

The project construction is expected to commence from 2025. Subsequent to that it will enter into commercial operation by 2026.

Power purchase agreement

The power generated from the project will be sold to Nigerian Bulk Electricity Trading under a power purchase agreement.

Contractors involved

Daewoo Engineering & Construction and GE Power are expected to render engineering procurement construction services for the gas fired power project.

GE Power is expected to perform operations and maintenance for thermal power project.
