PROJECT DESCRIPTION (DE)
Initial situation
The complex administrative structure of Bosnia and Herzegovina poses a challenge for the efficient implementation of policies and accession to the European Union (EU). The project aims to improve knowledge and negotiation skills within the institutions to facilitate compliance with EU requirements. To achieve this, it supports actors in the national government, the two entities and the Brcko District, as well as the country's ten cantons, through training and exchange. Furthermore, the project promotes structured dialogue between the government and civil society. This ensures the participation and involvement of the population in the country's EU integration efforts.
Objective
In Bosnia and Herzegovina, actors in the national government, the entities, the Brcko District, and the cantons are better prepared for EU accession negotiations.
Approach
The project measures include:
- Training officials: The project offers targeted training on EU law and EU funding instruments. In addition, digital tools such as e-learning modules and guidelines will be improved.
- Improve coordination between institutions: The project supports the Directorate for EU Integration in improving cooperation between the national government, the entities, and the cantons. This includes the application of digital solutions.
- Promote dialogue with civil society: The project supports a consultation mechanism through which state and non-state actors can collaborate. Th
