Scope of Work:
Construction of Onshore connection for 2.5-GW Baltica Offshore Wind Farm project in Poland.
Description:
The contract will be awarded on a design and build basis. The project will be implemented in two phases -- Baltica 3 of up to 1,045.5 MW expected to go online in 2026 and Baltica 2 of up to 1,497 MW, which is to be commissioned in 2027.
Previous Events: March 2022- Polish utility PGE Polska Grupa Energetyczna SA and Denmark’s Ørsted A/S launching a tender to select a general contractor for the construction of the onshore connection for their 2.5-GW Baltica Offshore Wind Farm project in Poland. The outcome of the tender is expected to be announced by the end of the year, with first construction works onshore scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2023.
August 2022- The developers selected a consortium of Ramboll Polska, the Polish arm of Danish consulting and engineering firm Ramboll, and Poland’s Projmors Maritime Construction Design Office as a contractor for the development’s construction project.
