π Tender Overview
Scope of Work:
Construction of 600 MW Combined-cycle gas turbine (CCGT) power plant in Poland.
Description:
ZE PAK β which is owned by one of Polandβs richest men, Zygmunt Solorz-Zak β and its subsidiary PAK CCGT will spend an estimated 2.3 billion zloty on construction of the 600 MW power station and associated infrastructure, as well as on servicing of the unit by Simens Energy for 12 years. The plant will be built in central Poland at the site of ZE PAKβs existing coal-fired AdamΓ³w power plant. Construction β overseen by a consortium of Siemens Energy Global, Siemens Energy and Mytilineos β is set to begin this year, with the plant operational by late 2026 or early 2027. A CCGT power plant uses the exhaust heat from gas turbines to generate steam, which is then fed to a steam turbine to provide additional power, resulting in higher electricity generation efficiency compared to traditional gas or steam turbine power plants.
