Objective
It is proposed to host a conference during the Irish Presidency to convene policymakers, researchers and civil society to explore how the One Health approach can address the interconnected challenges of climate change, human health, animal health and environmental sustainability. The impacts of climate change present significant threats to public health, including extreme heat, antimicrobial resistance, zoonotic transfer of pathogens, shifting diseases vectors, and food and water availability and quality. This full day event is designed as a modular programme, structured around three thematic sessions, and will be anchored by the pillars of innovation and surveillance and followed by a session on governance of research and innovation.
