Scope : Catete Substation is a 400kV substation located in Catete, Luanda, Angola.
The Catete Substation project’s construction is expected to begin in 2028. The works are expected to be commissioned in 2030.
Catete Substation project, which is an upgrade substation, will be operated by Rede Nacional de Transporte de Electricidade.
The designed voltage level of the substation is 400kV and the operating voltage level is 400kV.
The step-in voltage of the project is 400kV. Upon completion, the substation will have a capacity of 450MVA.
Catete Substation project development status
The project is expected to be commissioned in 2030. Approximately $40.5m was financed by the authorities to undertake the construction works of the project.
