Scope :
Cafula is a 403MW hydro power project. It is planned on Keve river/basin in Moxico, Angola. The project is currently in permitting stage. It will be developed in single phase. The project construction is likely to commence in 2025 and is expected to enter into commercial operation in 2028.
The net head of the project will be 209m. The project is expected to generate 1,919 GWh of electricity. The project cost is expected to be around $1,121m.
Development Status
The project construction is expected to commence from 2025. Subsequent to that it will enter into commercial operation by 2028.
Contractors Involved
Andritz Hydro will be the turbine supplier for the hydro power project.
Andritz Hydro will supply electric generator(s) for the project.
