Budapest Nyugati Railway Tender

The project aims to double passenger capacity with the construction of eight new underground tracks beneath the station’s main hall. It also includes a new park, a reconstruction of Nyugati Square outside the station’s front entrance, a new parking complex and a major urban development.

The project's implementation is set to begin in 2025. The project to renew Budapest’s Nyugati railway station has been awarded European Union funding. Hungary’s National Transport Center (NKK) has been awarded 2.8 billion euros for the upgrade of the Nyugati station.
