Scope :
BirAllah is a conventional gas development located in ultra-deepwater in Mauritania and is operated by BP Mauritania Investments. Discovered in 2015, BirAllah lies in block C 8, with water depth of around 7,872 feet.
The project is currently in feasibility stage and is expected to start commercial production in 2028.
Field participation details
The field is owned by BP, Kosmos Energy and Societe Mauritanienne des Hydrocarbures et de Patrimoine Minier.
Production from the BirAllah conventional gas development project is expected to begin in 2028 and is forecast to peak in 2030, to approximately 31,642 bpd of crude oil and condensate, 277 Mmcfd of natural gas and 1,304 Mmcfd of liquid natural gas. Based on economic assumptions, the production will continue until the field reaches its economic limit in 2060.
