Objectives
The project enhances the knowledge of individuals teaching language skills to immigrants regarding the teaching of communication skills. It provides tips and advice for lesson planning, as well as ready-made exercises for different language proficiency levels. Communication is not just consecutive words; it involves much more, such as the ability to listen and observe.
The results of the project offer new perspectives, inspiration, and tangible tools for teachers in their work.
Activities
In the project, there are three main working parts.
1) The research component involves familiarizing oneself with existing materials and theories related to the project.
2) Gathering best practices from participant organizations or those closely associated and refining them into materials for communication exercises.
3) Creating masterclasses for the professional development of teachers.
All parts are in dialogue with each other and form a clearly defined, useful whole.
Impact
- A material bank containing 100 communication exercises
- 8 Masterclasses covering various aspects of communication skills and their teaching
- 4 published articles based on the Masterclasses
- 4 organized training sessions: one related to materials and three focused on Masterclasses. In the latter, participants familiarize with the topics of 2-3 -- Masterclasses during a two-day training event.
