Banda Azul is a 147MW hydro power project. It is planned on Paracti river/basin in Cochabamba, Bolivia. It will be developed in a single phase. The project construction is likely to commence in 2029 and is expected to enter into commercial operation in 2032.
Description
The project is being developed and currently owned by Empresa Electrica Corani.
The gross head of the project will be 350m. The project is expected to generate 563 GWh of electricity.
The hydro power project consists of 2 units of francis turbines.
Development status
The project construction is expected to commence from 2029. Subsequent to that it will enter into commercial operation by 2032.
