Construction of 1 GW Ayre offshore wind farm, in the NE2 leasing zone.
Description:
TWP, a partnership between DEME Concessions, French renewable power producer Qair and Belgian renewable energy company Aspiravi, the project will be called Ayre. The Ayre offshore wind farm, in the NE2 leasing zone, is located 33 km from the East Mainland of Orkney. It will consist of between 50 and 60 turbines of 18 MW-25 MW. Construction is expected to start in 2029 and the wind park to be completed in 2033.
