Scope
Awisam is a 50MW hydro power project. It is planned on Pra river/basin in Western, Ghana. The project is currently in announced stage. It will be developed in single phase. The project construction is likely to commence in 2024 and is expected to enter into commercial operation in 2026.
The project is being developed and currently owned by Volta River Authority.
The project is expected to generate 205 GWh of electricity. The project cost is expected to be around $92.503m.
The hydro power project consists of 2 turbines, each with 25MW nameplate capacity.
