Project Summary

The APEC Bio-Circular-Green (BCG) Award was launched in 2022, to recognise distinguished individuals and/or organisations that have concretely implemented BCG economy approaches, to serve as examples and inspirations for the wider communities to learn from, replicate and apply in their own settings.

Having built upon and revised from its original version (as recorded in the APEC Project Database https://pdb.apec.org/Lists/Proposals/DispForm.aspx?ID=6167), the APEC BCG Award 2026 focuses on MSMEs.

All member economies will be invited to submit nominations to be considered for the Award, on a voluntary basis.

Successively, a selection committee will be formed to rank the nominees and select three winner(s). The Award Winners will be announced at the 2026 Concluding Senior Officials’ Meeting. Each Awardee will receive a prize money of $5,000 USD, funded by interested economies on a voluntary basis.
