Project Summary :These improvements will require right-of-way acquisition as walkways on NE Alder Street are primarily on private property. The remainder of the project scope includes curbless walkways, decorative concrete street surface, and landscaping with irrigation. These improvements will complement the festive lighting and street furniture planned for installation in 2021. The street is designed to serve as a mixed-use street that can be closed off to vehicle access to serve as a pedestrian plaza. Completion of the festival street on NW Alder Street and NW Alder Place will be phased to minimize the impact on downtown businesses.
