๐ Tender Overview
Scope : To Develop a Hyperscale Data Center Campus in Navi Mumbaiโs Airoli locality, Maharashtra
Lumina CloudInfra, a data center platform owned and managed by Blackstoneโs Real Estate and Tactical Opportunities funds, plans to invest more than $300 million, or around Rs 2,500 crore, to develop a hyperscale data center campus in Navi Mumbaiโs Airoli locality.
This will be Lumina CloudInfraโs maiden data center investment in India, which is expected to drive the US-based institutional investorโs efforts to deepen its data center presence in Asia.
The Airoli data center, with capacity of over 60 MW of critical IT load, will be set up on a 6.3-acre land parcel in two phases. The first phase of construction is expected to commence soon and is likely to be completed by 2025.
India is a high-growth market, with data centre demand expected to significantly increase, driven by rapidly growing data consumption, the digitization of the economy, the onset of 5G and data localisation trends. First data center is an important milestone for Lumina and Indiaโs digital journey.
