π Tender Overview
In Novogrudok, the modernization of the central boiler house, which started in August 2025, continues. The progress of the work at the site was assessed by the governor of the Grodno region, Yuri Karaev. The goal of the project is to partially abandon imported gas. Today, the boiler house operates on natural gas, providing heating and hot water to residential buildings and public facilities in the city. As part of the reconstruction, two new automated solid fuel boilers of Belarusian production are being installed here.
The fuel will be pellets - wood granules from the GLHU Novogrudsky Leskhoz. This is a local renewable raw material, with a daily requirement of 78 tons. A chimney over 30 meters high is being built for each boiler. After the work is completed, the capacity of the boiler house will reach almost 100 MW, with 14 MW coming from local fuel. This will allow for the substitution of about 7.2 million cubic meters of natural gas per year, reduce the cost of thermal energy, and decrease the regions dependence on imported fuel and energy resources.
