MANILA (PIA) -- Is your internet connection slow or intermittent? The Marcos Jr. administration, through the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT), is leveraging citizen feedback to improve the quality of digital services across the country through its Oplan Bantay Signal initiative. The program empowers Filipinos to monitor and report mobile and internet network quality, turning public data into government action. Since December 2025, the DICT has received more than 558,000 speed test submissions from the public. Oplan Bantay Signal proves that the voice of every Filipino matters, said DICT Secretary Henry Aguda. When the public reports weak signals or slow internet, the government and service providers respond, making connectivity more reliable for everyone, he added. To participate in the program, citizens are encouraged to: Test their internet speeds using the Ookla Speedtest app. Submit the results to the government via email at 1326@dict.gov.ph. Track public reports through the Signal Mo, Boses Mo portal. The gathered data allows the DICT to identify areas suffering from congestion or weak signals. This ensures that infrastructure improvements by telecommunications companies are based on evidence rather than speculation. According to the DICT, the initiative aims to strengthen equitable and responsive connectivity to ensure high-quality digital experiences for all Filipinos. (JCO/PIA-NCR)
