Summary
NS wants to deploy 100 extra people to improve social safety on the train.That is why a new role is being introduced within NS: mobile control teams.These are teams of six NS employees.These teams always include one or more NS employees with a boa authorization.The teams will focus on service and control in the train.They can be deployed on train routes where necessary at that time.Consider routes to events, extra crowds or where people often travel without a valid ticket.This makes the train journey more pleasant and safer for travelers and allows NS employees to do their work more safely.
The safety of travelers and our employees always comes first.We have paid a lot of attention to this in recent years.With extra capacity and a more targeted deployment of our safety colleagues, we are now taking the next step.With more colleagues on the train, we improve their safety, but also that of our passengers.

NS has taken various measures in recent years to improve the social safety of travelers and employees.NS wants to take the next step by expanding the number of FTEs for social safety.The mobile inspection teams can be deployed flexibly for service and inspection on routes and at times where extra deployment is required.This gives Safety & Service employees more space to focus on enforcement and on situations in which their specific safety training and powers are required.The authority to use force remains solely with Security & Service.NS hopes that the mobile control teams can be deployed in 2027.
