π Tender Overview
During an official visit to Chernihiv region, NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte and Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiga got acquainted with the work of the fighters of the 105th Border Detachment named after Prince Volodymyr the Great. The military has valuable combat experience - they protect not only the northern borders of the country but also work in the eastern direction. Special attention in Chernihiv region is given to the destruction of enemy aerial targets.
In January, 2224 enemy strike drones flew into Chernihiv region. Our defenders shot down 824. Almost 700 were lost locally. It should be understood that this is 1500 Russian drones that did not fly further - to the capital, to other regions, and did not hit targets in our area. A significant percentage of UAVs are neutralized by our interceptors, which are of Ukrainian production, informed the head of the Chernihiv Regional State Administration Vyacheslav Chaus.
This concerns the joint results of the work of air defense units, particularly the border guards. The fighters of the 105th Border Detachment named after Prince Volodymyr the Great told NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte about the nuances of their work and Ukrainian-made drones. Vyacheslav Chaus thanked the defenders for their work and noted that the border guards have combat experience that no military from any NATO country possesses.
It is extremely important to be in such places - for us and for diplomats from partner countries. To understand this war not from analytical reports but directly from the military. We received up-to-date information about the situation on the battlefield and the needs of our Defense Forces. Ukraine has a unique experience and is ready to share it. Ukraine is scaling up its own defense production but needs further defense support from the Alliance and member states. These needs were communicated to the NATO Secretary General, noted Andriy Sybiga.
He also conveyed three generators to the detachment on behalf of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and thanked the military for their daily service.
