In 2024, Ho Chi Minh City will achieve a growth rate of 7.17%; budget revenue of about 508,000 billion VND, contributing to the overall results of the whole country. Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Phan Van Mai shared that what the city is most proud of is receiving attention, leadership, and direction, helping the city to resolve difficulties and problems. Thanks to that, many projects that have been pending for many years have been restarted and completed, including Metro Line 1.
In 2025, Ho Chi Minh City has identified it as the year of accelerating to the finish line, with the goal of double-digit growth. Mr. Phan Van Mai proposed promoting inter-regional connectivity to create development space.
Sharing the same view, Chairman of Tay Ninh Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thanh Ngoc said that the province will soon hand over the land to investors to construct the Ho Chi Minh City - Moc Bai expressway to soon connect infrastructure and develop the economy of the Southeast regions.
Regional linkage is a combination to create new momentum in socio-economic and trade development across the region, thereby unleashing resources, opening up new momentum and development space for the region as well as creating conditions for business development.
