Hanoi Railway Company Limited (HMC) and Grab Company Limited (Grab Vietnam) officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding on a 2-year cooperation agreement with the aim of contributing to the management and development of transport and the development of services and products for smart transport in Hanoi, thereby contributing more to the achievements and development of urban railways in Vietnam.
At the ceremony, Mr. Khuat Viet Hung - Chairman of Hanoi Railway One Member Co., Ltd. said: "I believe that not only for Hanoi Metro but also for Grab - revenue growth or market share is not the primary goal, but customer satisfaction in particular and the development of the country's green transport system in general are the goals we aim for. Today's cooperation will be an important milestone in the process of building a green future, a safe - convenient - environmentally friendly and sustainable transport system".
Mr. Alejandro Osorio, Managing Director, Grab Vietnam shared: "Through the communication activities actively implemented by both sides, we believe that more people will combine the use of Hanoi Metro with GrabCar and GrabBike services to make their travel journeys more convenient and economical. More importantly, by seamlessly connecting Grab rides with Metro stations, we can reduce the number of vehicles on the road, increase traffic efficiency, thereby contributing to the development of public transport".
Within the framework of cooperation, HMC and Grab Vietnam will focus resources and experience to deploy 4 key areas: Communications to increase traffic and improve user experience when using Hanoi Metro;Promote access and use of Hanoi Metro in the community; Learn, share experiences and expertise among parties; Develop and implement activities to raise awareness and encourage people to use public transport.
