The call to build the export vocation of all sectors of the country was ratified this Tuesday by the President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, at the closing of the II International Meeting of Venezuelan Specialty Coffee (EICEV) 2023, held from July 13 to 18 in El Laguito, Circulo Militar, in Caracas.
“You always have to think about exports, in all areas. Build the export vocation of all sectors of the country", he referred to when illustrating the producers that it is necessary, "at least, to set aside 20% of the production to place it in international markets, while we are growing, because the export route is being built".
Subsequently -said the national President- "you grow in production and you have the export route and you have the national route, build the national route with quality, fair prices and satisfy the demand, supply the national market as we have it supplied at a general level with national production and import complement".
He indicated that there is no country in the world that does not matter to complement and ratified that Venezuela will experience a stage of splendid economic prosperity in the medium term, with sovereignty, independence, dignity and honor.
These words were pronounced by the Venezuelan Dignitary when calling for the unity of all the professional sectors of the country, entrepreneurs, businessmen, producers, peasants to "unite in only work effort, because in the end it is a win-win bet."
He stressed that the bet of losing - losing "we must never accept it again in Venezuela, it is the bet to work, produce, and that we all win, that the country, the people win, that the one who works wins."
The Head of State considered it essential to continue advancing in the national productive capacity, to grow in the national productive capacity to satisfy with quality the national consumption of all products, items, guarantee fair prices, without speculation for the people.
Laboratory inaugurated
On this day, the Foundation for the Excellence of Venezuelan Coffee (FECVE) was inaugurated, with which the laboratory to certify and guarantee the excellence of the item was also born.
The space is located in the La Castellana sector, Chacao municipality, and is certified - explained the People's Power Minister for Productive Agriculture and Land, Wilmar Castro Soteldo - by the large North American and European certifiers.
The inauguration was attended at the new headquarters by the cup of excellence taster and auditor, Luz Estela Artajo and Gabriel González, who is the president of this new foundation.
González stressed that the laboratory has a very high technology and international recognition. In this it will be possible to give training to the producers in different areas such as: barrismo and cupping. It will also allow the evaluation of commercial coffees and those that are exported.
