In this regard, he stressed that one of the social policies of the Venezuelan State is to guarantee the training of talents in strategic areas such as engineering, physics and mathematics, "but also biotechnology and aerospace engineering, as the most fundamental resource for the productive transformation of the country looking at our own definition of progress and development. "
He specified that, among the agreements signed in the field of big data is the use of remote sensing satellite for the analysis of the territory, as well as the diagnosis of climatic parameters.
Likewise, he noted that the agreement with the Institute of Research, Oceanography and Satellite Applications will allow the use of satellites in production, scientific and educational processes.
The Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation, also pointed out that new technologies will guarantee the training of high-level talents for medical specialties, in addition to the use of new tools to reduce negative diagnoses.
"We are moving forward, in an agenda that has to do with education, educational exchange (...) mathematical and logical ability, reading and comprehension are fundamental, but of course the science and technology agenda is transversal to all the processes and challenges that our young people and our children will have to live," said Jiménez.
In this sense, he insisted on the need to rethink the Venezuelan education system and training towards quality, "because this is part of a national scientific agenda (...) science and technology are the engine for the transformation of the country and of course in this deep alliance with China we are based on a science that responds to the interests of the Republic and the Venezuelan people."
In the same vein, he explained that artificial intelligence, currently, is a tool that integrates data and knowledge that favor production processes.
"This is an agenda that we fundamentally signed for the training of talents and the transfer of technology in all the development of new algorithms, with the purpose of developing technological platforms for our government policy, in addition to the digital economy agenda," he concluded.
