The NS Upcycle Shop will be back at Utrecht Central Station from Monday 19 to Sunday 25 October.In the NS Upcycle Shop you can find sustainable products made from recycled NS material, such as a train sign that has been transformed into a hanging lamp.Presentations and workshops will take place on Monday 19 and Thursday 22 October from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM.Visitors can work with NS material themselves during the workshops.
Old train materials, new destination In the NS Upcycle Shop, materials that are no longer used in trains or at stations are given a new destination as much as possible.New in the shop include the Maxima bag, made from old train seats from first class.There are also passport holders made from remnants of banners and ballerinas made from the leather of train upholstery.This way, material remains in use for longer and as little as possible is lost.With an old train, 98 percent of the material is given a new purpose.

See and make for yourself This edition of the NS Upcycle Shop not only shows the products, but also the production process behind it.Workshops and presentations will take place on Monday 19 and Thursday 22 October between 3:00 PM and 6:00 PM.During their presentation, the Fraenck studio shows how train materials change into new designs.The designers of Ver DraaidGoed guide visitors during the workshops in making their own notebook.Visitors can choose their own front and back cover with a favorite city or route.The workshop is free and you can register via the Ver DraaidGoed website.Both in store and onlineThe NS Upcycle Shop can be visited at Utrecht Central Station from Monday 19 to 25 October.The shop opens on Monday at 3 p.m. and is open during the week from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.More information about the Upcycle Shop and the program can be found at NS.nl/upcycle.A selection of the products is also available in the online shop.
