The Michigan Department of Transportation MDOT is scheduled to perform routine maintenance on the I-96 bridges over Billwood Highway and the Grand River. This work is in preparation for a preventive maintenance project this summer.Eastbound and westbound I-96 will have single-lane closures between Lansing Road and M-99.The northbound Lansing Road ramp to the eastbound I-96 will be closed.Performing regular maintenance on bridges helps improve and extend the service life of these structures. Closing lanes during this type of work is necessary to provide the safest work area possible for crews and motorists.
