A separate biomaterial collection point was organized at the regional laboratory center conducting research on COVID- 19 . The premises have already been renovated and furniture and appliances remain to be installed. This will protect health care workers from coronavirus infection said Oleksandr Moskalenko the deputy chairman of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional State Administration. The regional laboratory center is now on the verge of combating the coronavirus. Every day his employees conduct hundreds of tests on COVID- 19 to quickly diagnose it - said Alexander Moskalenko. - We need to protect doctors who work diligently to preserve our health. Therefore they organized a separate reception point for biomaterials. This will reduce the risk of infection of the specialists of the laboratory. An extension with a separate entrance through which biomaterials will be introduced was made to the laboratory center. The rooms where the samples will be registered have been repaired. They replaced the water supply electricity windows flooring and lighting and finished the work.A separate place for sampling is important. Previously samples from different parts of the area were taken through the entire laboratory center. This created a risk of infection of personnel - said Director of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Laboratory Center Alexander Stepa. - Now we can organize work according to modern standards. We have separate rooms where we will receive register in an electronic system and sort biomaterials. Contractors also repaired a house to guard the regional laboratory center. Previously the medical establishment was not guarded at all. All works - regional cost.
